ETCH X is a powdered acid reducible in water and should be used in lieu of muriatic acid for etching concrete surfaces prior to the application of any cementicious or epoxy coating. ETCH X is safer to use, easier to handle, and is more cost efficient than muriatic acid. ETCH X is neutralized with potable water.

- MIXING REQUIREMENTS
` ETCH X can be reduced as follows:
20 to 1 = Weak Solution
15 to 1 = Mild Solution
10 to 1 = Medium Solution
5 to 1 = Strong Solution
(1 lb. ETCH X to 1 gallon water = most muriatic acid work)
- APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Pour or spray ETCH X on surface to be cleaned. If poured, spread solution with a mop, push broom, or floor cleaning machine.To rinse for exterior applications, use a garden hose and push broom or squeegee to extract cleaner completely. For interior applications use a mop or shop vac along with plenty of water to rinse ETCH X completely. All ETCH X must be thoroughly extracted to proceed to the next step.
